“The more you love your beautiful little weirdo self, the more you’ll find people who love it too” —hyesu lee

Ms. Lee is an incredibly talented illustrator, muralist, animator, storyteller and professor at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Her art is authentic, personal, and serves as a poignant reminder of what it means to be human in today’s screen-filled world. Her comics gently and humorously connect to the everyday experiences we face.

Ms. Lee has worked with companies like Apple, Google, The New Yorker, USPS, and The Washington Post to name just a few. She is also the author/illustrator of the book, Self-Love Club: Real Talk and Reminders for Discovering that We're Enough

As an emerging citizenry school with The School of Global Citizenry, KTC is offering a three-part 90-minute workshop with Ms. Lee called, Making Comics for Everyday Life with Hyesu Lee. In this workshop, folks will have the opportunity to dip their toes and those kranky thumbs in a bit of drawing and comic-making focused on what makes us human in our everyday lives.

We hope you’ll consider putting down that screen and picking up your favorite drawing instrument to rediscover the delightful fun of making through drawing. Making Comics for Everyday Life opens on September 9. Enroll today!

All funds from your purchase of this workshop are allocated to the Kranky Thumb Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
