“The more you love your beautiful little weirdo self, the more you’ll find people who love it too” —hyesu lee

Ms. Lee is an incredibly talented illustrator, muralist, animator, storyteller and professor at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Her art is authentic, personal, and serves as poignant reminder of what it means to be human in today’s screen-filled world. Ms. Lee’s comics somehow gently and humorously connect to the everyday experiences we face.

As a brilliantly skilled illustrator Ms. Lee has also worked with companies like Apple, Google, The New Yorker, USPS, and The Washington Post to name just a few. Ms. Lee is also the author/illustrator of the book, Self-Love Club: Real Talk and Reminders for Discovering that We're Enough

As an emerging citizenry school with The School of Global Citizenry, KTC will be offering a 90-minute workshop with Ms. Lee called, Comics for Everyday Life with Hyesu Lee. In this workshop, folks with have the opportunity to dip their toes and those kranky thumbs in a bit of drawing and comic-making focused on what makes us human and our everyday lives.

We hope you’ll consider putting down that screen and picking up your favorite drawing instrument to rediscover the joys of making through drawing. Comics for Everyday Life will be available in September!
